Victoria, a business administrator, met Rob, an Oil and Gas manager, through work. They were working on the same project for the same company but in different locations. She was in Argentina and Rob was in America. Destiny brought them together when she came to Houston for training. They fell madly in love.
During their long distance courtship, they traveled often. It was in Panama’s airport that he proposed. They hadn’t seen each other for a month when “I started looking for him in the airport’s lobby…the crowd opened and I could see him walking towards me,” recalls Victoria.
They married at 5226 Elm, a location she found after a lot of online research. “I was still living Argentina…we trusted in the accuracy of the pictures, and were not disappointed,” she says.
She worked with a tailor to design her own gown. “I wanted something completely personal, so I took some ideas from European web pages.” The couple honeymooned in Paris. – Laurette Veres
